UPTET 2024 Notification, Exam Date, Eligibility, Fee, Exam Pattern

Notification for UPTET 2024 can be released by Uttar Pradesh Board of Basic Education in February 2024, after which the candidates who are eligible to participate in this examination will be able to apply online.

According to some reliable sources, it can be released in the first quarter of 2024. To apply online for the UPTET an individual will have to provide details, upload documents and pay the fee to apply online, the window will be available on the respective reporter most probably for 4 weeks, link to apply online will be also activated inside the table above.

UPTET Exam Date 2024

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has not confirmed any date for the commencement of Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 for Paper 1 and 2. If the notification is made public by January or February 2024 then we may anticipate that the exam may be held in May or June 2024 across the state in each district.

Note: Exams will be held for Paper I and II in two shifts with an exam time duration of 2 hours 30 minutes in offline mode.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Criteria for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 for Paper I and II are available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

Paper I

Educational Qualification:

    One must have pursued a two year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) from a recognised institution. (OR)

    A candidate must have completed 4 years Bachelor’s of Elementary Education.

Age Limit – An individual’s age must not be below 18 and above 35 years.

Paper II

Educational Qualification:

    One must have completed 2 years DElEd and hold a Bachelor’s Degree. (OR)

    An individual must have 2 years pursued 2 years Bachelor’s of Education from a UGC recognised university. (OR)

    A candidate must have completed 4 years Bachelor’s of Science / Arts – Bachelor’s of Education (Integrated).

Age Limit – One’s age must not be below 21 or above 40 years.

Note: There will be an upper age relaxation for 3 years for Other Backward Class and 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Tribes.

UPTET 2024 Application Fee

To apply online for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2024, an individual who belongs to General or Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) will have to pay the application fee of 600 rupees for a Paper, and those who come under the Scheduled Tribes or Caste need to pay only 400 rupees.

Note: To apply for both Papers UR/OBC need to pay ₹1200 and SC/ST for ₹800. Differently abled i.e. Physically Handicapped candidates will have to pay only ₹100 for a Paper, and ₹200 incase of two papers.

    Language 2 (English, Urdu or Sanskrit)

    Mathematics or Social Sciences (Depending on the subjects taken)

Marking Scheme:

    +1 for each correct answer

    No negative marking
